Prior to working at Glasgow, Dr Harrison conducted materials-related research in several internationally leading groups in Europe, including: The Composites Group at the University of Nottingham, UK (2001-2005), The Materials Group in the Technical University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands (1999-2001), The Centre de Mise en Forme in the Ecole des Mines de Paris, France (1997-1999) and The Rheology Group in the University of Wales at Aberystwyth, UK (1992-1997). Dr Harrison served as President of the Scottish Association of Metals (2013-2015) and has been a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers since 2006 and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He leads the Feasibility Study 'Multi-Step Thermoforming of Multi-Cavity, Multi-Axial Advanced Thermoplastic Composite Parts'.
